For Enrico Mattioli, passion has become work. After six years at Macron, today he is Senior Apparel Designer in the style department. His role has steadily evolved, involving him in the complete stages of conception and design of collections tied to Pro Club and Motorsport sponsorships, while also overseeing prototyping.
“Every year I’ve seen both my responsibilities and the impact of the projects I’ve worked on grow. It’s been a process of growth that has never stopped.”
When creativity meets passion
Raised in the Motor Valley and with a sports background in Virtus Bologna’s youth teams, Enrico had the opportunity to work with both Virtus and Lamborghini in the past. Designing the kits for the former and developing the style collections for the latter was, for him, like seeing a dream come true.
“It was incredible to be able to combine my personal passion with my job.”
A routine that inspires
His daily life at the company is anything but ordinary. He says there hasn’t been a single day when going to work has felt like a burden.
“For me, it’s pure pleasure. I say that with pride, because it’s not something to take for granted.”
An enthusiasm that has been noticed and appreciated within the creative team. His aspiration? To become a point of reference, especially for special projects like those connected to motorsport.
No limits to growth
For Enrico, Macron is a company where you can dream big. An environment that constantly encourages you to aim a little higher, where keeping creativity alive is essential.
“You have to study the history of the club you’re working on, to find inspiration and give meaning to what you create.”
This was evident in his work with Stoke City, where he proposed innovative stylistic solutions, going beyond the club’s conservative traditions. A risk that paid off, both in terms of recognition from the fans and in sales.
Growing alongside the company
Joining Macron back when it was still at its historic headquarters, Enrico has personally experienced the company’s evolution. A growth he feels deeply and loves to share with new colleagues.
“Having witnessed the transformation from the start makes you appreciate every extra step. You feel like part of a bigger project.”
He recalls always feeling part of a family, where his potential was seen and nurtured. Even mistakes proved fundamental in shaping the person he is today. And he wouldn’t change a thing about this journey.
Wisdom and ambition
When asked which word best represents Macron, Enrico answers without hesitation: wisdom.
“A measured, steady growth, built brick by brick. There haven’t been sudden spikes that make you lose control. It’s been solid growth.”
But if the company follows a wise rhythm, his dreams go even bigger:
“I’m someone who dreams. I’m ambitious. You aim for the moon and, if all goes well, you find yourself sitting among the stars.”
