In every company, each department contributes to achieving shared goals, even the quieter, less visible ones. Such is the case of Macron’s Administration and Finance Office, where Nunzia Piccolo holds the role of Planning & Control Senior Specialist. Her work includes preparing reports for both Italian and international group companies, analyzing business processes, and developing new procedures to be shared across departments.
A path of continuous evolution
Nunzia has been at Macron for nine years. She began with a training internship, but her journey, as she describes it, has been a true rollercoaster. Complex transitions, new responsibilities, and challenges faced together with a team that has supported and valued her.
“This is a place that stimulates you in a different way every day. If you’re curious and willing to challenge yourself, you can really grow.”
Curiosity, in fact, has always been her driving trait. For Nunzia, it is the key to learning, improving, and facing challenges with an open mindset. “You must never stay still,” she often repeats. “You have to feed your curiosity.”
Beyond numbers: the challenge of relationships
Among her most formative experiences was managing the opening of a new store. A complex project that involved her well beyond accounting, requiring constant dialogue with several business departments.
“It was a great exercise in responsibility, precision, and collaboration. I learned how important it is to build effective relationships, even in a technical role like mine.”
From local control to an international vision
After years of following Italian operations, Nunzia expanded her scope to the international landscape. This allowed her to work with different operational models and to deepen her understanding of the tangible impact of her analyses within a global organization.
“Working on international projects lets you see things from another perspective. It broadens your vision and gives you a deeper understanding of the entire company.”
Her current role in the controlling team enables her to oversee the full cycle of processes, not only from an accounting standpoint but also from a strategic one.
The ambition to become a point of reference
One of her future goals is to take on increasing levels of responsibility and gain more knowledge in order to better define her role.
“At Macron, opportunities are there. But you need the courage to seize them, not to fear change but to be part of it.”
And it is precisely change that Nunzia has seen emerge as one of the company’s defining traits over time. When she joined the company, she explains, a period of major growth and expansion was just beginning. Today, thanks to all of this, her department has been able to evolve, establish more precise methods, clearer roles and more effective tools.
The energy of the new generation
Nunzia feels part of a generation that brings freshness, critical thinking, and motivation. A group that, alongside the experience of senior colleagues, represents one of the most dynamic forces in the company.
“Being young pushes you to dare, to propose, to never stop. For me, this is one of the most inspiring aspects of working at Macron.”
It is an energy rooted in sharing, collective growth, and a strong sense of belonging. Because in a company in constant transformation, where every day brings new challenges, having passion and curiosity truly makes the difference.
