Having joined Macron almost two years ago, Edoardo Collina, Head of Social & Content Media, brings a unique perspective to the company. Before joining Macron, he gained professional experience working with one of its partner clubs, getting to know the brand from a different point of view before becoming part of the team himself. His story begins in one specific place: the Campus.

A Campus that changes your perspective

“I always say that you can feel the international dimension here.”

Having worked in several Italian cities, including Bologna, Edoardo has no doubts: Macron’s headquarters stands out from the usual workplace environment. Drawing on his experience in other sports organisations, he describes the Campus as state-of-the-art, particularly in terms of its facilities and the way its spaces are organised.

Joining Macron as the company moved into its new headquarters meant experiencing an environment designed to evolve from day one — not only as a workplace, but also as a place increasingly focused on sport and sharing experiences.

For someone who has always been passionate about sport, this makes a real difference.

“Having the opportunity to play sports where you work is not something you can take for granted.”

The Campus is also supported by an efficient operational structure, with the tools, resources and support people need from the very beginning.

“You arrive and can get straight to work. You don’t have to worry about anything. That’s a huge plus.”

From hands-on execution to strategic leadership

Joining Macron marked a significant step forward in Edoardo’s professional journey.

For the first time, he found himself leading a larger team. It was a meaningful change that shifted his role from a primarily operational focus towards a more strategic one.

“I was already managing one person, but working with a larger team gave me the opportunity to challenge myself as a manager. My role has changed significantly: today, I spend more time thinking about vision, direction and people’s development.”

Leading a team also means learning to trust, share responsibilities and build success together.

“It’s a great responsibility, including on an emotional level. You have to learn how to manage team dynamics, bring out the best in people and build a genuine team spirit.”

Organisation and creativity: finding the right balance

In a highly creative field, Edoardo sees a well-structured organisation as a key factor.

A solid framework and clearly defined processes make it easier to focus on ideas, campaigns and content creation, without spending unnecessary energy managing operational complexity.

“It’s a very well-organised environment, and that’s essential for anyone working in a creative field. It frees up mental space to think big.”

A high-energy environment for professional development

“Macron is an environment that requires energy and determination. The pace is fast, and if you want to grow, you have to be willing to challenge yourself.”
