Macron<\/a><\/strong> takes centre stage at the most important cricket event of the year. This is the tenth edition of the ICC Men\u2019s T20 World Cup<\/strong>, scheduled to take place from 7 February to 8 March in India and Sri Lanka. Macron will be the most represented technical partner in the competition, supporting 4 of the 20 teams involved in this prestigious tournament: Italy<\/a><\/strong>, Ireland<\/a><\/strong>, West Indies<\/a><\/strong> and South Africa<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Organised by the International Cricket Council, the world governing body of cricket, the T20 World Cup is a biennial event featuring 20 teams. The current holders of the trophy are India, winners of the 2024 edition held between the United States and the West Indies, and hosts of this year\u2019s competition alongside Sri Lanka. The T20 World Cup has been played since 2007, when it was hosted by South Africa and won by India, who, together with West Indies, boast two titles in the tournament\u2019s honours list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Italian cricket<\/a><\/strong> has written an important page in its history by qualifying for this top-level global competition for the first time ever. The Azzurri achieved this feat by finishing second in the European qualifying tournament, behind the Netherlands. At the ICC Men\u2019s T20 World Cup 2026, the Italian national team will make its debut on 9 February in Kolkata against Bangladesh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ireland<\/a><\/strong>, representing both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, took part in its first men\u2019s T20 World Cup in 2009 and has been present at every edition since. The Irish will make their debut against one of the two host nations, Sri Lanka. The match is scheduled for 8 February at the R. Premadasa Stadium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

West Indies<\/a><\/strong> is one of the most successful teams in the sport and boasts two victories in this competition: in 2012, defeating Sri Lanka in the final, and in 2016, beating England. The Windies<\/em> will make their debut on 7 February in Kolkata against Bangladesh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

South Africa<\/a><\/strong> has a long and prestigious history in the world of cricket and is the current holder of the ICC World Test Championship, won last June in the final against Australia. In the men\u2019s T20 World Cup, they can boast two semi-final appearances and one final, reached in the most recent edition against India. The Proteas<\/em> will take to the field for their first match on 9 February at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, India, against Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accompanying the athletes of Italy, Ireland, West Indies and South Africa will be Game Sets entirely conceived, designed and developed at the Macron Campus<\/a><\/strong> in Bologna.
