In every company, every area contributes to achieving the common goals, even the quieter, less visible ones. This is the case with Macron’s Administration and Finance Department, where Nunzia Piccolo holds the role of Senior Planning & Control Specialist. Her work includes the preparation of reports for the group’s Italian and international companies, the analysis of business processes, and the development of new procedures to be shared across departments.

An ongoing evolution of the path

Nunzia has been with Macron for nine years. She started with an apprenticeship, but her journey, as she herself describes it, has been a true “ “This is a place that challenges you differently every day. If you have curiosity and a desire to take risks, you can truly grow.”

It is curiosity itself that has always accompanied her. According to Nunzia, it is the key to learning, improving, and facing challenges with an open mind. “You must never stand still”," he repeats often. “One must eat curiosity.”

Beyond the numbers: the challenge of relationships

Among the most formative experiences was managing the opening of a new store. A complex project, which involved her engaging in more than just accounting matters, in a continuous dialogue with various company departments.

“It was a great exercise in responsibility, precision and collaboration. I learned how important it is to build effective relationships, even in a technical role like mine.”

From local control to international visibility

After following Italian activities for years, Nunzia expanded her scope of action to the international scene. This allowed her to confront different operating logics and to deepen the concrete effects of her analyses within a global organization.

“Working on external projects leads you to see things from a different perspective. It’s a step that enriches your vision and gives you a deeper understanding of the entire company.”

The current role in the controlling team, in fact, allows her to follow the entire process cycle today, not only from an accounting perspective but also from a strategic one.

The ambition to become a reference

Among his future goals is to acquire more and more responsibility and knowledge to better define his role.

“In Macron there are opportunities. But you must have the courage to seize them; do not fear change but be part of it.”

And it is precisely this change that is one of the distinctive traits that Nunzia has seen emerge over time. When she joined the company, she recounts, it was at a time of great growth and expansion. Today, thanks to all of this, her department has been able to evolve, define more precise methods, clearer roles, and more effective tools.

The energy of the new generation

Nunzia feels part of a generation that brings freshness, a critical spirit and motivation. A group that, alongside the experience of the more senior figures, represents one of the most dynamic forces of the company.

“Being young drives you to dare, to propose, to never stop. This is one of the most stimulating aspects of working at Macron for me.”

An energy that finds value in sharing, collective growth, and a strong sense of belonging. Because in a constantly changing company, where every day brings a new challenge, having passion and curiosity really makes a difference.

Curiosity, clarity, and collaboration define Nunzia Piccolo’s contribution to Macron.
