One week after unveiling the new home kit<\/a><\/strong> to be worn by the Scotland teams in the upcoming season, Scottish Rugby<\/a> <\/strong>and Macron<\/a><\/strong>, technical partner of the SRU since 2013, have also revealed the new 2025\/26 away kit<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the away set, the chosen colour is a range of purple shades<\/strong>, a nod to two plants \u2013 thistle and heather<\/strong> \u2013 that symbolise Scottish identity and landscapes. The thistle, <\/strong>the Flower of Scotland<\/em>, is honoured in the national anthem, and features in the crest of Scotland. Heather<\/strong>, too, holds strong meaning: as well as covering Scottish hillsides with its light purple blooms, it has long been regarded as a symbol of good fortune.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2025\/26 Scotland away shirt<\/a><\/strong> features a crew neck and is predominantly a light shade of purple inspired by heather flowers. Darker purple tones, those of the thistle flower, appear in the collar details, sleeve cuffs and vertical side bands. The front body, shoulders and sleeves of the shirt are enriched with an abstract graphic<\/strong> made up of fine irregular lines applied using embossing, which gives the garment a distinct visual and dynamic effect representing the movement of a gentle breeze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inside the collar is a customised tape with the word \u201cScotland<\/em>\u201d alternating with the thistle logo. On the chest, both embroidered in dark purple, are the Macron Hero<\/strong> on the right and the Scotland crest<\/strong> on the left. The Saltire, the national flag of Scotland, is embroidered on the left sleeve and also appears in embossed print on the lower back of the shirt, blowing like the flags raised above Scottish Gas Murrayfield.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The internal back neck label is customised as in the home version, with a background that mirrors the graphic on the primary shirt, representing the soundwaves of fans chanting \u201cSCOTLAND, SCOTLAND<\/em>\u201d from the stands of the Stadium. In the foreground is the Scotland thistle, beneath which is the motto \u201cAs One<\/em>\u201d in white. To the left is the Macron logo with the phrase \u201cDesigned in Bologna<\/em>\u201d, certifying and highlighting that every garment is conceived, designed and developed by Macron Style Centre in collaboration with Scottish Rugby at the Macron Campus<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The shorts echo the shirt\u2019s colours and graphics, with a vertical dark purple band on the sides. The socks are light purple with a darker-toned upper cuff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new Scotland away Kit<\/a><\/strong> features a body fit. Like all technical garments produced by Macron for its partners, it is made from Eco Fabric<\/a><\/strong>, a material consisting of 100% polyester derived from recycled plastic \u2013 a strong message of sustainability and environmental respect. Specifically, the fabrics used are Eco Armevo<\/em>, Eco Bodytex<\/em> and Eco Strong Mesh<\/em>, materials that, in addition to being lightweight and breathable, offer maximum strength. The new match kits, along with the Replica versions and exclusive clothing and merchandise line that Macron creates for the Scottish Rugby Union, are available in the dedicated section of the macron.com website<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
